I’m in the middle of A levels at the moment, and although it’s hard work, I’m enjoying my subjects – Fashion, History, and History of Art. Part of the fun was the research I’m doing into classic Hip Hop culture, the clothes and the environments that created the style. Continue reading
Well… that was just amazing! I had a a great week of work experience last week at Women & Home magazine in the fashion department. On the last day I was given the opportunity to attend one of their reader’s fashion shoots, where four models came in to model four different themes for this summer’s trends. It was in a studio in the heart of Shoreditch, which is a part of London I love and totally different from the bit where I live. Surrounded by stylists, hair and makeup teams as well as the photographer Liz McAulay in action was brilliant and very inspiring. The whole day was so extraordinary for me (someone who had never been on a fashion shoot). Definitely the best week I’ve had in such a long time, working with lovely people and being directed in what I hope will be a possible career path. I’d love to share pics but I can’t until the issue is out in the shops! Anyway, here is my outfit from the day: new casual trousers in black and navy tartan print. They were fab with a cropped black top I already had and some Black sparkly High tops. All from Urban Outfitters, surprise surprise aha.
